Person in Wheelchair in Bloomington Hit-and-Run Near Locust and Santa Ana
BLOOMINGTON, CA (January 13, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash injured a person in a wheelchair near Locust and Santa Ana avenues in Bloomington.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident took place late Thursday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the collision at about 11:15 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck a female pedestrian in a wheelchair for an unknown reason in Bloomington. The driver hit her near the intersection of Locust and Santa Ana avenues.
Driver Hits Victim, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Bloomington High School. They found the victim hurt as a result of the collision
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the injuries she sustained in the accident. The name of the wounded party and her condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help and fled the area. Officers forced the corner of Locust and Santa Ana avenues to shut down following the incident.
The cause of the Bloomington hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
