1 Trapped, Kills in Road Accident Near Hidden Valley Road

Blythe, CA (November 19, 2022) – A deadly traffic collision occurred Saturday evening in the area of State Route Highway 95 and Hidden Valley Road, according to My News LA.

Earlier reports indicated a big rig and a sedan crashed into each other on the highway in Blythe. Officials said one driver veered into the opposite lane, and slammed head-on into the other vehicle. Additional descriptions on the automobiles involved in the wreck have not been revealed thus far.

Deadly Traffic Collision on Highway 95 in Blythe

Shortly after 6:57 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the accident scene. Responding paramedics found the driver of the sedan trapped in the mangled car. The firefighters from the Riverside County Fire Department worked extensively to extricate the victim. Sadly, the driver succumbed to their injuries and passed away. Officials continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.

Several factors surrounding the catastrophic incident remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the fatal crash that happened at Highway 95 and Hidden Valley Road in Blythe.
