BLYTHE, California (October 8, 2014) – One person suffered serious injuries Tuesday night in a collision between a big rig truck and two other vehicles on Agnes Wilson Road at Highway 95, according to a press release by the Riverside County Fire Department.
The collision was reported to police about 6 p.m. Paramedics responded to rescue a person who was trapped in the wreckage. The individual was flown by Native Air to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries sustained in the accident.
Roughly 50 gallons of diesel fuel leaked out of the big rig truck and required cleanup by the Riverside County Hazardous Materials team. The Environmental Heal Officials were also on the scene.
Police will investigate the crash to determine liability. They will issue a report with their findings including who is liable for the crash and whether any charges were filed against the drivers involved.
