Semi-Truck Versus Car Accident on State Route Highway 178
BLYTHE, Calif. (May 11, 2022) — A semi-truck and car collided Wednesday morning on State Route 178 (Highway 178) near 20th Avenue in Blythe.
The crash on Highway 178 occurred about 4:37 a.m. on May 11th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the the vehicles collided due to unknown circumstances.

Paramedics responded to help those hurt in the two-vehicle collision. There are no specific details about those hurt in the traffic accident.
During the collision, the semi-truck’s chassis separated from the trailer and required two tow trucks to remove it from the highway.
The passenger vehicle also required a tow truck.
A telephone box in the area was damaged, its wires were exposed and needed repair or replacement.
Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the crash on Highway 178.
