3 Killed in Labor Day Crash in Paso Robles
PASO ROBLES, Calif. (September 3, 2019) – Bobbi Jo Bainconnor, 45, and Jeffrey A. McNemey, 51, were identified as the passenger and driver respectively who died in a head-on crash on Labor Day on Nacimiento Lake Drive.
The pair were riding in a 2015 Dodge Dart that crossed over double yellow lines into a Ford F-150 pickup truck that killed a third person, Denise Kudla, 59, and injured John Kudla who was driving the truck.
All three victims who died were residents of Paso Robles.
Police suspect that Jeffrey A. McNemey was speeding when the 2 p.m. collision occurred just east of San Marcos Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
John Kudla suffered minor injuries in the crash and was hospitalized. His passenger, Denise A. Kudla was rushed to the hospital where she died.
McNemey and his passenger, Bobbi Jo Bainconnor, both died of their injuries at the scene.
The crash is under investigation to determine if McNemey was driving under the influence of alcohol.
