Woman Dies in Hit-and-Run Collision Near Western Avenue
Koreatown, CA (November 16, 2022) – Bong Lee, an 83-year-old woman, suffered fatal injuries following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Third Street, the CBS News reported.
Our sources indicated Lee attempted to cross the intersection in Koreatown Monday morning. While walking across the roadway, an eastbound BMW struck the female party.
According to the article published online, the driver of the BMW sped off; and left the pedestrian lying on the ground.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Third Street in Koreatown
Emergency crews arrived at the crash site shortly after 6 a.m. Responding paramedics immediately rendered aid to the woman with serious injuries. Medical personnel rushed the victim to a hospital, but the trauma to her brain and body were too severe. Authorities later confirmed the pedestrian, Bong Lee, passed away.
Meanwhile, information on the hit-and-run suspect remained undisclosed.
Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine several unclear factors surrounding the deadly accident that happened on Third Street in Koreatown.
