3-Vehicle Crash at Bonita Intersection in San Diego

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. (August 12, 2025) — Three vehicles were involved in a car accident Tuesday morning in Bonita at Briarwood road and Sweetwater Road in San Diego County.

The multi-vehicle collision occurred around 11 a.m. at the 3-way intersection, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the vehicles involved were a black Honda Civic, a light blue sedan, and a white Acura sedan. Airbags were deployed in at least one of these vehicles following the collision in the right-turn lane on Briarwood, the report said.

Paramedics responded to help those injured and at least two of the vehicles required a tow truck due to heavy damage.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Briarwood Road in Bonita.
