Auto vs. Quad Motorcycle Collision on 13th Street
Imperial Beach, CA (February 22, 2023) – A Border Patrol agent suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on 13th Street Sunday, February 19.
The San Diego Union-Tribune News reported the officer was riding a quad motorcycle traveling near Coronado Avenue around 7:30 p.m. For reasons still unclear, the agent collided with an SUV on 13th Street. Additional details on the description of the civilian vehicle involved in the wreck have not been revealed thus far.
Border Patrol Agent Hospitalized After Accident in Imperial Beach
When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they immediately checked the conditions of the officer and other motorist. The article published online mentioned the agent had to be transported to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Personal information on the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Detectives assigned to handle the case stayed at the scene the whole evening. They continue to investigate exactly how and why the crash happened on 13th Street in Imperial Beach.
