3-month-old and Motorist Hospitalized
BORON, KERN COUNTY (April 2, 2016) – An infant and a motorist were injured following a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 395, March 30, according to the Victor Valley News.
The accident happened at around 5:35 a.m. near Highway 58 at Kramer Junction.
Preliminary report stated that a 30-year-old male motorist in a 2012 Ford F-150 was recklessly driving on the highway. He was crossing lanes on a solid yellow line.
The event led the Ford to collide against two Peterbilt trailers. The rearmost trailer broke apart and caused debris to enter the northbound lane, as mentioned in the article.
The debris caused further chaos on the highway. Three other vehicles—a 2013 Ford F470, a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder, a 2007 Toyota Corrola were left to collide against the trailers.
The mishap concluded with the 21-year-old Toyota driver and a 3-month-old Nissan passenger wounded from the wreck.
Both patients were transported to Barstow Community Hospital for treatment of their minor trauma.
The Victor Valley News published that the incident is still under investigation.
