Minor Injury Collision on Highway 86 Near US Boarder Patrol in El Centro Wednesday
Borrego Springs, CA (May 13, 2021) – At least one person suffered injuries following a car accident on State Route 86 on May 12, Wednesday.

The California Highway Patrol group reported two vehicles collided on Highway 86; in the area near the US Boarder Patrol in El Centro.
Shortly after 5:25 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the crash site and found at least one person with injuries. Paramedics rendered aid to the victim, and later determined they sustained minor injuries from the collision. According to the CHP dispatch, medical personnel transported the patient to a local hospital for treatment and further evaluation.
Authorities later identified one car found at the scene–a silver Kia Optima. However, the make and model of the other car involved in the wreck remained undisclosed.
At this time, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate exactly how and why the car accident in Borrego Springs happened.
