Pedestrian Injured in Boulder Creek Hit-and-Run on Highway 9
BOULDER CREEK, CA (December 31, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 9 in Boulder Creek.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Friday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the collision at about 2:46 p.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit the person on Highway 9, known as Central Avenue, in Boulder Creek.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Highway 236. They found the victim hurt but conscious and breathing as a result of the collision
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the accident. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and fled the area. Officers forced a stretch of Highway 9 to shut down following the incident.
The cause of the Boulder Creek hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
