Christopher Manuel Rodriguezinigo, 19, arrested on drugged driving charges
LONG BEACH, Calif. (June 5, 2018) – A 15-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle and critically injured Tuesday morning in the 700 block of Market Street, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
The crash took place about 7:30 a.m. when an eastbound driver struck the boy. Paramedics responded to the scene and rushed the injured child to a hospital where he is fighting for his life, the report said. The driver stopped and cooperated with police and was identified as 19-year-old Christopher Manuel Rodriguezinigo . He was allegedly driving while under the influence of marijuana. Police arrested him and he is being held on $100,000 bail.
The Long Beach Police Department is heading up the investigation.

Police are investigating this collision in an effort to determine who is at fault. Typically, under California law, drivers are required to yield the right-of-way to all pedestrians in the roadway. It’s unknown what led to this particular collision and whether or not any criminal charges will be filed.
