2 Injured in Boyle Heights Crash on Westbound 10 Freeway Near Soto Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (June 18, 2021) – Two were injured after a car crash on the 10 Freeway in the Boyle Heights neighborhood.
According to an article published by My News LA, the accident took place on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 5:20 p.m.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said about three to four vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed in the westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway near Soto Street.
Multiple Vehicles Collide Friday
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and then extricated two trapped occupants from the wreckage. Both sustained unspecified injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon rushed the two patients to an area trauma center, where they listed one of them in critical condition. The other ended up listed in fair condition.
Officials did not disclose the names of the wounded parties. Meanwhile, officers forced the westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway to shut down for a time following the wreck.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the Boyle Heights crash.
