Pedestrian Hit and Killed by Vehicle on Pomona (60) Freeway Thursday
Boyle Heights, CA (April 8, 2021) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred on Interstate 60, also known as Pomona Freeway, Thursday evening.
According to an article published online by My News LA, a vehicle struck an individual in the westbound side of I-60. The make and model of the car involved in the catastrophic incident remained unknown at this time.

Emergency teams responded to the crash site near the Lorena Street onramp. When medical personnel arrived, they found the pedestrian unconscious. Paramedics later sadly pronounced the man dead at the scene. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Police reportedly shut down the four right lanes of the westbound Pomona Freeway after the incident. Detectives stayed in the area the whole night to investigate the precise cause of the fatal pedestrian in Boyle Heights.
