Homeless Man Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver in Boyle Heights
BOYLE HEIGHTS, Calif. (June 21, 2021) — – A Boyle Heights hit-and-run pedestrian accident left a 62-year-old homeless man dead and the driver fled the crash scene.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened at 10:46 p.m. on June 20th at 1606 S. Grande Vista Ave., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Authorities report the pedestrian was crossing the street when an oncoming vehicle struck the man. Sadly, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner will release his name after relatives are notified of the Boyle Heights hit-and-run pedestrian accident.
Meanwhile, the crash scene was located near a railroad bridge.
Investigators are reviewing evidence and witness statements to help them locate the suspect who fled. Police did not provide a description of the suspect’s vehicle at this time.
