2 Hurt in Car His Pedestrians at Taco Stand on Olympic Boulevard
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Nov. 5, 2018) – Two people were hospitalized in serious condition Sunday morning in Boyle Heights when a vehicle crashed into a sidewalk taco stand.
Two other people were also evaluated at the scene of the crash, but were not taken to a hospital.
The collision took place about 11:03 a.m. in the 2700 block of East Olympic Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. A driver in a red pickup truck told authorities their vehicle’s brakes were not working. The truck struck a vehicle and then four pedestrians.

PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION
Police are reviewing the evidence and any witness statements to determine fault. It appears, however, that the driver is responsible for the injuries to the four pedestrians based on the facts we know at this time.
The owner of a vehicle is required to ensure their vehicle is safe for the road.
