3 Hospitalized After Reckless Driver Pursuit in Boyle Heights
BOYLE HEIGHTS, Calif. (Sept. 4, 2018) – Three people including two women were hospitalized Monday night after a reckless driving suspect being pursued by sheriff’s deputies crashed into a vehicle in Boyle Heights, according to a report by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The crash took place about 7:21 p.m. in the 800 block of North State Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The report stated that Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies observed a recklessly driver and began to pursue the vehicle into the Boyle Heights area.
Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the suspect to a hospital to be checked out for injuries. The man was later arrested by police. A woman who was in his vehicle was also hospitalized as well as a man and woman from the other vehicle. The extent of the injuries suffered by these people was not disclosed.
Boyle Heights Accident Investigation
A full investigation into what caused this collision is underway, but it appears that the driver who was arrested is responsible for the injuries to his passenger and the people in the other vehicle.
