KINGS COUNTY, Calif. (June 13, 2023) — Brandon Moreno, 23, died and his girlfriend Amaya was critically injured in a motorcycle accident on Highway 43 in Kings County.
The deadly crash occurred around on the night of May 27th at Dover Avenue, just north of Hanford, according to KFSN.
A driver traveling southbound on Highway 43 was attempting to pass a truck when it crashed into the northbound motorcyclist and his female passenger.
Both Brandon Moreno and Amaya were transported by air ambulance to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno. Just a few hours later Brandon Moreno died at the hospital. Two weeks later, Amaya remains at CRMC where she is still recovering.
The case remains under investigation.
Meanwhile, the family of the young man who died is holding a ride to honor their son at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 17th at Burris Park. Registration is $25 and starts at 9:30 a.m.
