Pedestrian Hit and Killed by Vehicle on Highway 111 at W. Rutherford Road Tuesday
Brawley, CA (June 22, 2021) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred early Tuesday on State Route 111 at W. Rutherford Road in Brawley.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a body was found lying on the northbound lanes of the highway at about 1:25 a.m.

Responding paramedics immediately rendered aid to the pedestrian. Medical personnel reportedly performed life-saving measures to the victim but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the fatal victim remained undisclosed.
The CHP log mentioned the motorist involved in the catastrophic incident continued driving following the collision. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Detectives continue to investigate at this time the precise circumstances that led to the deadly pedestrian accident in Brawley.
