Major Injury Collision Near Imperial Highway Wednesday
Brea, CA (December 29, 2021) – A traffic accident that occurred Wednesday afternoon on State Route 57 resulted in injuries, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Officials said a big rig collided with a red sports car in the northbound side of the highway in Brea. The crash took place near Imperial Highway.
CHP logged the incident at about 4:23 p.m.
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the sedan pinned underneath the truck. Responding firefighters reportedly used the jaws-of-life to extricate the parties trapped in the car.
Paramedics immediately checked the conditions of the people pulled out from the crumpled car. According to the CHP dispatch, at least one person suffered major injuries as a result of the incident. The name and age of the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the car crash on State Route 57 in Brea.
