 Brenda Blakes Fatal Empire Motorcycle Accident Santa Fe and South Avenues

2 Killed in Empire Motorcycle Crash

Empire, Calif. (August 3, 2021) – Brenda Blakes, 20, of Elk Grove, is one of two people who died Tuesday night in a motorcycle collision in Empire.

The woman, who was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle, was identified by the Stanislaus County Coroner’s office.

The deadly crash happened just before 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3rd at the intersection of South Santa Fe and South Avenues.

The motorcycle reportedly collided with a small gray sedan on the southbound side of Santa Fe Avenue.

Paramedics responded and rushed Brenda Blakes to a Modesto hospital where she later died due to her injuries.

Meanwhile, Bruce Rummerfield, 53, of Stockton, who was driving the bike was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities closed down the intersection of South Santa Fe and South Avenues .

Investigators seek to determine liability for the deadly crash.
