10-Year-Old Girl Badly Injured in Pedestrian Accident
BRENTWOOD (September 17, 2018)- According to EastCounty.Net, a major injury pedestrian accident left a girl badly hurt this morning at the crossroads of Balfour Road and Guise Way.
At roughly 7:44 a.m., Brentwood police officials arrived at the scene of the collision.
Preliminary investigations indicate that a 10-year-old unidentified girl had been crossing the intersection headed northbound upon being struck by an alleged Nissan Altima headed eastbound on Balfour Road.
The minor suffered serious injuries and was flown from the scene to UC Davis Medical Center, where she remains hospitalized as of this afternoon.
Following the collision, the vehicle’s driver remained at the scene and was compliant with Brentwood authorities. It was confirmed the driver was not unable the influence, per the report.
Authorities are currently looking into the case as the investigation is ongoing.
