Boy, 12, Riding Bike Injured in Car Accident
BRENTWOOD, Calif. (Oct. 6, 2023) — A 12-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was hit by a car in an accident at O’Hara Avenue near Lone Tree Way.
The child was struck by a vehicle at around 5:35 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4th, according to East Bay Times.
The boy was reportedly riding his bike northbound on O’Hara Avenue and began to cross Lone Tree Way when he was hit by a westbound vehicle at the intersection.
Paramedics responded and airlifted the boy by helicopter to a hospital, police said.
The child is expected to recover from his injuries.
Meanwhile, police closed down the westbound lanes of Lone Tree Way for roughly 30 minutes to investigate the collision.
Authorities continue to work on the case to determine fault for the collision.
