4 Injured in Crash at Brentwood Intersection
BRENTWOOD, Calif. (Dec. 12, 2023) – Four people were injured and a suspected DUI driver was arrested after a Brentwood car accident at 2nd Street and Oak Street.
Three vehicles were involved in the 7:20 p.m. crash on Sunday, Dec. 10th, according to East Bay Times.
The Brentwood Police Department responded to the scene and conducted an investigation. Authorities determined the first driver was heading southbound on 2nd Street at more than 60 mph in a 25 mph zone. The car reportedly collided with a second vehicle at the intersection with Oak Street. One of the vehicles also collided with a third vehicle.
Police say the 23-year-old Oakland man driving the first vehicle was driving under the influence of alcohol and or drugs at the time of the collision.
Paramedics responded and located four people with injuries including the suspect and three people from the vehicle that he hit. They were all taken to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Finally, the suspected DUI driver was arrested and booked into Contra Costa County Jail.
