4 Injured in Brentwood Crash on Byron Highway Near Orwood
BRENTWOOD, CA (June 2, 2023) – Several were injured after a crash on Byron Highway near Orwood Road in Brentwood.
According to an article published by the Contra Costa News, the accident took place on Wednesday night. Officers reported the wreck on May 31 at about 8:44 p.m.
The incident happened when at least two cars collided for an unknown reason in an unincorporated area of Brentwood. The vehicles crashed on Byron Highway near Orwood Road.
A California Highway Patrol dispatch described the cars as a black Chevrolet Malibu and gray Nissan sedan. Both sustained moderate front-end damage upon impact.
2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found a total of four people hurt. Two of them sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Air ambulances flew the victims to a hospital for treatment. Medical personnel at the site provided aid to the other two patients for the minor injuries they suffered in the accident.
The report did not release the names of all the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers forced a stretch of Byron Highway to shut down near Orwood following the wreck.
The cause of the Brentwood crash is still under investigation.
