Pedestrian Struck, Killed in Long Beach by Hit-and-Run Driver
LONG BEACH, Calif. (July 14, 2026) – Brian McBroom, 53, died Monday night in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident at Ocean Boulevard and Golden Shore in Long Beach.
Authorities continue to search for the suspect and a black vehicle that struck the victim around 11:40 p.m. on Monday, July 14th, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Investigation into Deadly Hit-and-run Crash in Long Beach
Detectives working on the case reported a driver struck the victim in the roadway and failed to stop. Meanwhile, the victim was hit by a white truck and a red sedan following the initial impact.
Long Beach Fire Department firefighters responded, but the man did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the pedestrian has not been released, pending positive identification.
