Vehicle Strikes, Kills Pedestrian on Rubicon Court
Lucas Valley, CA (June 16, 2022) – Police arrested 39-year-old Brian David Phillips following a deadly pedestrian accident that occurred on Rubicon Court.
The Marin Independent Journal News reported Phillips was driving a 2016 Land Rover heading north on Rubicon Court. According to the article published online, the motorist struck a female pedestrian standing in the roadway. Officials believed the woman was crossing the street when the horrible crash happened.
Shortly after 9:23 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the site. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the pedestrian but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and sadly died. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, investigators later determined the driver of the Land Rover was drunk at the time of the collision. Police then arrested Brian David Phillips on suspicion of felony DUI causing great bodily injury and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
