Pedestrian Hit and Injured by Vehicle at McHenry and Briggsmore Avenue
Modesto, CA (March 24, 2022) – Brian Watson, a 43-year-old Modesto resident, suffered injuries following a suspected hit-and-run collision that occurred in the area of McHenry and Briggsmore Avenue.
The Modesto Bee News reported Watson was walking east at the intersection Thursday morning. While in the middle of the roadway, a northbound vehicle struck the man. The collision took place at about 6 a.m.
When emergency crews arrived at the site, they found the pedestrian with major injuries. Paramedics rushed Brian Watson to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation.

The article published online mentioned the driver involved in the crash fled the scene. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect. Furthermore, investigators determined Watson walked against a no-walk signal; while the motorist had a green light at the time of the accident.
At this time, detectives continue to work to determine several unclear factors surrounding the hit-and-run crash at McHenry and Briggsmore Avenue.
