Bicyclist Critically Injured in Brisbane Hit-and-Run at Lagoon Way and Tunnel Avenue
BRISBANE, CA (July 11, 2021) – A bicyclist was critically injured after a hit-and-run crash at Lagoon Way and Tunnel Avenue in Brisbane.
According to an article published by the CBS San Francisco, the accident took place on Saturday evening. Officers reported the collision on July 10 at about 6:13 p.m.
Brisbane police said a vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason. The driver hit the cyclist at the intersection of Lagoon Way and Tunnel Avenue.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the victim left lying on the ground as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment of critical injuries. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the bicyclist and fled the area. They described the suspect as a black male adult with a thin build, about 40 years of age, with a beard and a black hat.
Officers classified the car as a silver 1998 Honda Accord or similar vehicle. It has damage to its front, hood area, and possibly windshield.
Authorities forced the intersection of Lagoon Way and Tunnel Avenue to shut down following the collision. The Brisbane hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
