Brittany Rankins Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 12 in Napa

NAPA COUNTY, Calif. (May 15, 2026) — Brittany Racquel Rankins, 36, of Sacramento, died Tuesday afternoon when she was thrown from a motorcycle in a crash on Highway 12, just east of Kelly Road in Napa County.
According to the California Highway Patrol Napa Station an investigation is underway into the fatal crash on May 12th involving a motorcycle that crashed into a black Honda.
CHP officials reported the collision occurred around 1:52 p.m. when a motorcyclist and his female passenger were traveling eastbound on Highway 12. The bike was reportedly splitting lanes before it crashed with the Honda in the right lane. The female passenger, identified as Rankins, was thrown off the bike and hit by a third motorist. Sadly, the woman died from her injuries on what police say was her birthday. All drivers involved stopped and cooperated with police.
