Bruce Johnson, 56, Killed in Car Accident on Belmont Near Minkler
FRESNO COUNTY (September 25, 2019) – A traffic collision killed one person and injured three others along Belmont Avenue near Minkler Wednesday morning.
According to an article published by The Fresno Bee, the fatal multi-vehicle accident occurred at about 6:30 a.m. near North Newmark Avenue.
California Highway Patrol said the incident began when 34-year-old Charles S. Williams was driving a 1999 Ford F-150 west on East Belmont approaching Newmark.
The Orange Cove man turned left onto southbound Newmark, at the same time a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling east. The Chevrolet then broadsided the Ford.

The Silverado continued eastbound, crossed into the westbound lane of Belmont and ultimately sideswiped a 2016 Hyundai.
A passenger riding in the Ford pickup died as a result of the crash. The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased victim as 56-year-old Sanger resident Bruce Johnson.
Williams suffered moderate injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The drivers of the other two cars involved sustained minor wounds upon impact.
The tragic incident remains under investigation.
