Bruce Krejcik, 72, Seriously Injured in Sonora Fatal Crash on Highway 108

SONORA, CA (July 25, 2022) – A fatal car crash on Highway 108 left Bruce Krejcik seriously injured in Sonora.

The  California Highway Patrol identified the 72-year-old Tuolumne man as the victim of the wreck which took place on Sunday.

The incident happened when Bruce Krejcik was driving a 2006 Lexus ES330 east on Highway 108 in Sonora. At the same time, a 2003 Mitsubishi Mirage was going west.

For an unknown reason, the Mitsubishi crossed over the double yellow lines into the path of the other car. In the process, the Mirage slammed head-on into the Lexus.

2 Cars Collide

CHP said the two crashed west of Old Wards Ferry Road. The Union Democrat and My Mother Lode wrote that the collision occurred on July 24 at about 5 p.m.

Bruce Krejcik sustained major injuries as a result of the crash. A helicopter flew him to the Memorial Medical Center in Modesto for treatment.

CHP confirmed that the 41-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi died following the accident. Meanwhile, officers forced the eastbound lanes of Highway 108 to shut down for a time after the wreck.
