
Car Hits Motorcyclist at Panama Lane and Ashe Road
Bakersfield, CA (April 4, 2023) – Bryan Clark suffered serious injuries following a traffic collision that occurred in the area of Panama Lane and Ashe Road, the Bakersfield Now News reported.
Officials said Bryan was riding a motorcycle traveling in Southwest Bakersfield Saturday evening, April 1. When the motorcyclist approached the intersection of Panama and Ashe, a pickup truck hit the rider. Our sources indicated the driver of the pickup lost control after the collision. The pickup struck a fire hydrant, and plowed into a nearby Chevron building.
Off-Duty Officer Badly Hurt in Bakersfield Collision
Shortly after 9:30 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the location. Responding found the motorcyclist suffering in serious injuries. Authorities later identified the victim as Bryan Clark, a longtime Arvin police officer. He was off duty at the time of the incident.
The article published online mentioned Bryan survived but lost his right leg as well as two fingers on his right hand.
Meanwhile, investigators determined the driver that hit the victim was intoxicated when the crash happened. No immediate information was available on the DUI suspect in the major accident that happened at Panama Lane and Ashe Road.
