Indio Man, 20, Killed in Crash on Ave 48
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. (August 15, 2024) — Bryan Rodriguez, 20, of Indio, died in a motorcycle accident Wednesday morning on Avenue 48 between Hjorth Street and Madison Street in Riverside County.
The fiery, two-vehicle collision occurred at around 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday, August 14th in the 81200 block of Avenue 48, according to a report by the Riverside County Fire Department.
The motorcycle rider and another vehicle were involved, but it’s unknown what caused the collision.
Riverside firefighters responded to help those injured, but unfortunately the rider was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other injuries reported.
Meanwhile, the Indio Police Department began an investigation into the circumstances leading up to the crash and will determine fault.
Police closed down the intersection of Avenue 48 and Madison Street as well as Avenue 48 and Calle Diamant and Avenue 49 and Hjorth Street.
The identity of the young man was released the following day by the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
