BUELTON: Head-on Crash Highway 246, Mail Road

Minor Injury Collision on State Route 246

BUELTON, Calif. (March 27, 2025) — A head-on crash involving minor injuries happened Thursday afternoon on Highway 246 (SR-246) at Mail Road and Drum Canyon Road in the Buelton area.

The two or three vehicle collision occurred at around 2:55 p.m. on March 27th, in Santa Barbara County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the vehicles collided due to unknown circumstances and paramedics responded to help those injured.

The report did not mention if anyone was hospitalized. Tow trucks removed at least two of the vehicles from the highway due to damage from the accident.

Finally, investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Highway 246 in Buelton.
