1 Critically Injured in Buena Park Crash on Beach Boulevard and 91 Freeway

BUENA PARK, CA (October 10, 2022) – One was critically injured after a DUI crash on Beach Boulevard and the 91 Freeway in Buena Park.

According to the On Scene TV and OC Hawk, the accident took place early Monday. Police and fire department officers responded to the wreck shortly after midnight.

The incident happened when an SUV and a sedan collided head-on in Buena Park. The two crashed on Beach Boulevard at the 91 Freeway off-ramp.

One of the cars involved then slammed into a tree nearby. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found the male driver of the sedan hurt.

DUI Driver Hits Another Car

He sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel rushed the patient to the UCI Medical Center and listed him in critical condition.

The report did not disclose the name of the wounded victim. Meanwhile, police added that the two occupants of the SUV ended up unharmed.

Officers determined that the man driving the SUV was under the influence when he hit the other car. They soon arrested and took him into custody on suspicion of DUI.

Police forced a stretch of Beach Boulevard to shut down for a time near the 91 Freeway following the wreck. The Buena Park crash is still under investigation.
