Man Killed in Buena Park Pedestrian Accident 91 Freeway
BUENA PARK, Calif. (May 10, 2018) – A pedestrian was killed Thursday morning in a collision on the westbound 91 Freeway at the Knott Avenue on ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash took place about 10 a.m. as a black male adult was crossing the freeway, the CHP report said. Orange County Fire Authority responded to the scene where they found the man down in the HOV lane and a black Honda 4-door sedan stopped in the same lane.
Police issued a SigAlert for the collision as the HOV and No. 1 lanes were blocked. Caltrans called for a hard closure of the westbound freeway at Beach Boulevard.
A motorcyclist was injured in a separate crash about an hour after this one. He was taken to a hospital for undisclosed injuries.
