1 Injured in Buena Park Hit-and-Run Crash on 5 Freeway Near Beach Boulevard
BUENA PARK, CA (September 2, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on the 5 Freeway near Beach Boulevard in Buena Park.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the wreck occurred on Thursday morning. Officers reported the accident at about 7:18 a.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck a gray Honda Civic collided for an unknown reason in the city of Buena Park. The two crashed on the northbound side of the 5 Freeway near Beach Boulevard.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found an occupant of the Honda Civic hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the other driver did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Officers forced the northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Buena Park hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
