1 Seriously Injured in Tow Truck Crash at Burson Road and Highway 12
CALAVERAS COUNTY, CA (April 15, 2021) – A crash seriously injured at least one person at Burson Road and Highway 12 in the Burson community.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 5:23 p.m.
According to CHP, a tow truck and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason. The two crashed at the intersection of Burson Road and Highway 12.
2 Hospitalized After Collision Thursday
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene and found two people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. At least one of them suffered major injuries upon impact.
Medical personnel took the tow truck driver to Doctors Medical Center and the other patient to Sutter Health Memorial Medical Center for treatment. Their names and condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, officials forced the roadway to shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Burson crash.
