Several Injured In Bus Crash In El Segundo Area
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (June 27, 2022) – An eastbound bus crashed into a parked semi-truck in an accident Monday on West Imperial Highway in El Segundo.
More than a dozen people suffered minor to major injuries in the El Segundo bus accident about 8:25 a.m. on June 27th, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The Los Angeles Commuter Express bus overturned onto its side during the wreck. The big rig was offloading a scissor lift from the vehicle. Firefighters responded to the 5600 block of West Imperial Highway where they located those injured in the crash. Three of those hurt, including the truck driver and two bus passengers, suffered major injuries in the crash.
The El Segundo police and fire personnel remained at the scene with assistance from the Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach Fire Departments.
The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation by the CHP.
