Major Injury Crash in Butte City on State Route 162
BUTTE CITY, Calif. (July 9, 2021) — A Butte City car accident involving a U-Haul truck happened early Friday on Highway 162.
The collision happened about 2:25 p.m. on July 9th on state Route 162 also known as Biggs-Willows Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a Ford Explorer and a U-Haul box truck collided due to unknown reasons, police said.

One person suffered a major leg injury in the crash. The injured person was airlifted to Enloe Medical Center. It’s unknown at this time if anyone else suffered injuries. Also, police have not released the names of the drivers involved at this time.
Meanwhile, both vehicles required tow trucks. The Ford suffered major front-end damage.
Investigators seek to determine the cause of the Butte City car accident. So far, it’s unknown if anyone was cited for any traffic violations.
