2 Injured in Butte County Crash on Highway 32 Near Lomo
BUTTE COUNTY, CA (August 31, 2021) – Two were injured after a car crash on Highway 32 near Lomo in Butte County.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred late Tuesday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 11 a.m.
According to CHP, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason near Lomo and Forest Ranch in Butte County. They crashed on Highway 32, a mile east of Humboldt Road.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars involved as a Nissan 4-door sedan and a GMC pickup truck. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel attended to two people who sustained minor to moderate injuries as a result of the collision. They then took at least one patient to a hospital for further treatment.
Officials did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at the time. Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Highway 32 near the Lomo area to shut down following the wreck.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Butte County crash.
