2 Seriously Injured in Oroville Crash on Northbound Highway 70
OROVILLE, CA (May 7, 2023) – A car crash left two people seriously injured along Highway 70 in the city of Oroville.
According to an article published by the Action News Now, the accident took place on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on May 7 at around 5:05 p.m.
The incident happened when two cars collided for an unknown reason in Oroville. The California Highway Patrol said the vehicles crashed on the northbound side of Highway 70.
2 Cars Collide
The Cal Fire Butte County added that both cars obtained major damage upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found two individuals hurt.
The patients sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision. An air ambulance flew one victim while a ground ambulance rushed the other person to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP blocked the northbound lanes of Highway 70 following the wreck.
The cause of the Oroville crash is still under investigation.
