Butte County Child Pedestrian Accident Colter Way in Magalia

Child Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Magalia Crash on Colter Way

BUTTE COUNTY, CA (September 1, 2021) – A child pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash on Colter Way in Magalia.

According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the incident at about 3:42 p.m.

CHP said a brown Honda CR-V struck the juvenile for an unknown reason in the Magalia community of Butte County. The car struck the pedestrian at 14735 Colter Way.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Colter Court. They found the child who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then rushed the victim to a hospital for treatment of possible broken leg and head injury. Officials did not disclose the condition of the patient at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the Honda stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the child. Officers forced a stretch of Colter Way to close following the collision.

The cause of the Magalia pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
