2 Hurt in Butte County Collision at Larkin Road, Turner Ave
BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. (Jan. 5, 2021) — A Butte County head-on crash was reported Tuesday at Larkin Road and Turner Avenue.
The collision happened about 6:20 a.m. between a white Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck and a Nissan Frontier pickup truck, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Additionally, the CHP reports the collision took place during heavy fog in the area. The Nissan wound up in a ditch roughly 10 feet off the roadway. Meanwhile, the Chevrolet had right side damage. Both trucks had to be towed from the crash scene.
Paramedics responded with firefighters to find a woman possibly trapped in a vehicle. Two people were hurt in the crash. One person suffered minor injuries and the other moderate injuries. Ambulances transferred both injured people to a hospital for further treatment.
The cause of the crash and liability remains under investigation because police are reviewing evidence. Furthermore, witnesses may contact the CHP and reference incident 00019.
