Rollover Crash on Highway 149 in Butte County
BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. (May 13, 2022) – A multi-vehicle rollover crash on the northbound Highway 149 happened Friday morning, just south of Highway 99 in Butte County.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred about 7:57 a.m. on May 13th, north of Wicks Coroner and Oroville, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Police officers responded to the scene where a white Ford Explorer overturned onto its roof after it went off the highway. The SUV reportedly collided with a 4-door Toyota sedan and possibly other motorists. CHP officials reported that two vehicles overturned in the crash. Other vehicles believed to be involved include a maroon Honda Civic. Roughly ten vehicles pulled over to help those involved, police said.
Meanwhile, at least two people were hurt in the crash including one with a broken bone and the other with minor injuries. Butte County CAL FIRE says all injuries are non-life-threatening.
Paramedics responded to treat those hurt in the rollover crash on Highway 149 near Durham.
Meanwhile, motorists should expect traffic delays until tow trucks remove the vehicles from the scene.
