Semi-Truck, Minivan Crash on I-5 Freeway in Buttonwillow
BUTTONWILLOW, Calif. (April 13, 2022) — A semi-truck and minivan collided Wednesday morning on the Interstate 5 Freeway, just south of 7th Standard Road.
The crash happened about 7:31 a.m. on April 13th in the southbound lanes of the Interstate 5, according to the California Highway Patrol.
It’s unknown what led up to the collision between the two motorists on the I-5 Freeway. The minivan pulled over into the center divider and the truck to the right shoulder.
Paramedics responded due to minor injuries suffered by the semi-truck driver, but it’s unknown if others were also hurt in the crash.
Meanwhile, the crash blocked several lanes of the freeway and at least one of the vehicles required a tow truck.
Investigators are working to determine liability for the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by California Highway Patrol deputies.
