1 Injured in Buttonwillow Tesla Crash on Northbound Interstate 5
BUTTONWILLOW, CA (May 31, 2021) – At least one was injured after a Tesla crash on the Interstate 5 in Buttonwillow.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 1:07 p.m.
Their report log said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Buttonwillow. They crashed on the northbound Interstate 5, just north of Stockdale Highway.

CHP described the two as a blue colored Tesla and a white sedan. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon treated the patient for the minor injuries they sustained in the wreck. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound lanes of the Interstate 5 to shut down following the accident. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Buttonwillow crash.
