BYRON: Fatal Head-on Crash Vasco Road, Camino Diablo
One Dead, Three Injured in Collision in Byron
BYRON, Calif. (Feb. 7, 2025) — One person is dead, and three are injured after a head-on crash in Byron Thursday night on Vasco Road, just south of Camino Diablo.
The crash occurred at 6:10 p.m. on Feb. 7th, 2025, the California Highway Patrol said.
The two-vehicle collision happened when a man driving northbound in a Honda CRV reportedly crossed double-yellow lines into the path of a southbound Toyota Prius.
One of the three passengers traveling in the Prius died at the scene.
Paramedics responded and transported both drivers and another passenger to a hospital due to major injuries.
Investigators from the CHP stated that drugs and or alcohol were not factors in the collision.
