1 Injured in Bystrom Hit-and-Run Crash at 9th Street and River Road
BYSTROM, CA (June 25, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash at 9th Street and River Road in Bystrom.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the wreck took place on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the accident at about 3:43 p.m.
CHP said a silver Hyundai and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Bystrom near Modesto. They crashed at the intersection of South 9th Street and River Road.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near Highway 99. They found one person riding the Hyundai hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided aid to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP believed that the driver of the other vehicle involved did not stop to help and fled the area. The Bystrom hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
Officers shut down the intersection of 9th Street and River Road for a time following the collision. Authorities are still searching for the suspect.
